Barbara Turino is returning to teach a second semester with Theatre Guild. She is a professional facilitator, trainer, speaker, executive coach, published author, actor and owner of PROS, LLC. Her personal mission statement is to assist people in reaching their full potential and learning tools that can be put into practice immediately, while having fun. She is the author of the book entitled Getting Your Act Together. She believes that everyone is on stage every day, with a role to play in the show called life, and an audience who will hopefully give rave reviews and demand encore performances. Barb ‘s workshops will be fun and interactive and will include skills that can be used by an actor to enhance their performance and can also be used in everyday life to improve relationships and results.
Her 5-week series of workshops will include:
Learning and practicing various acting techniques from Meisner, Uta Hagen, Chekov including character development, scene study, reality in acting, auditioning, memorization, emotional preparation, improv, Act As If and much more. These classes will be beneficial to new and returning students. There is something for everyone in Barb’s workshops regardless of acting experience.
